等地獄結冰 Cold Day in Hell(測試版 0.3.2)
A downloadable game for Windows
HELLVAC — test build 0.3.2
You said you'd pay it back when Hell freezes over. Hell's front desk took you at your word.
You're an HVAC technician. You choked on an ice cube at lunch, and now you're at Hell's front desk, where they've found the money you owed and the thing you said about it. Hell doesn't argue about figures of speech. It hands you an ice cube and tells you to get started.
So your weapons are appliances: window ACs, foil walls, heat pipes, all the way up to a liquid-nitrogen tank on your back in the Lake of Fire. The catch is that heat never disappears. Every degree your AC takes off the front comes out the back, so it has to go somewhere: upstairs to Earth (the weather service will notice), downstairs to the lake (nobody minds), or past the overseer demon who's come down to inspect your equipment.
Hell doesn't sit still either: imps sneak your thermostats up, Satan posts patch notes that nerf your cooling ("the community said it was too strong"), and your generators run on Hell's own heat — the better you do, the colder the floor, the less power you have.
The whole map turns from red to blue, one tile at a time. Freeze 60% of the first floor and the door opens.
We're looking for people who have never played it. Please don't look anything up first — just play. What we want to find out is whether you can finish the first floor with nobody teaching you.
- What's in it: the first floor, the Waiting Room (about 30–60 minutes), and the start of the second, the Lake of Fire.
- When you're done, please fill in the questionnaire (about 10 minutes): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeg8GcOem0kAWFFKHTbtjF3CPpXBmJqFv_o2W6o_O7n_GtOYg/viewform
- The game keeps a play log on your computer (the frost line, when each step happened, what you built, where you got stuck). It never goes online and uploads nothing; we only see it if you send it. README_en.txt in the zip says how to send it, and how to turn it off.
Needs: Windows 10/11, 64-bit; a graphics card with Vulkan or Direct3D 12 (most recent dedicated or integrated GPUs). Mouse and keyboard, or a gamepad (Xbox layout). English,
It's a test build: it isn't digitally signed, so the first time Windows may say "Windows protected your PC" (click "More info", then "Run anyway"); Windows 11 with Smart App Control on blocks it outright (README_en.txt explains). Most sounds are still placeholders; the art and the text will change.
Thanks for playing.
